How does Dermapen work?
The pen passes over the skin with fine needles at a depth set by the doctor, creating micro-injuries that prompt the skin to repair itself and build new collagen and elastin. The channels also help the skin absorb the serums used in the session.
It is used for
- Acne scars and other scars.
- Large pores.
- Fine lines.
- Stretch marks.
- Fresher skin with a finer texture.
After the session
- Redness and mild warmth for one to three days.
- No make-up for 24 hours.
- Sunscreen is essential.
- Avoid scrubs and retinol for a few days.
Frequently asked questions
How is Dermapen different from fractional laser?
Both stimulate collagen to treat scars and texture. Dermapen uses fine needles and usually has a shorter recovery; fractional laser uses light and can give a stronger result in some cases. The doctor chooses what suits you.
Does it hurt?
We apply a numbing cream before the session, so it is comfortable to tolerate.
How many sessions will I need?
Three to six sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on your skin.
